I spent some time with this family of four (who’s names all start with the letter J) at a local park for their holiday shoot and found the next football prodigy – their adorable son, Justin. He can be a bit cranky at times, but who can blame him? How do you expect a 21month old boy to sit still for a portrait when there are balloons and balls around? As it turns out, he has quite the talent for soccer – as demonstrated by his skills while playing at the park. Watch out Beckham, you got competition coming your way.

Here’s one I grabbed on our way out. What you don’t see are two big guys to the left playing football and as you can tell – this little guy is not ready to leave just yet. More to come later!

*** UPDATE : here a few more stills from that afternoon’s session. We got some gorgeous light towards the end of the session.

I adore their outfits. Cute, yet classic at the same time – they set a nice tone for their holiday cards too.

C * DK | BABY LOVE

October 18, 2009

Here’s a set from an impromptu maternity session we did with C & DK when they were in town to visit family earlier this summer. We were actually filming the rice krispies clip at DK’s sister’s place when he showed up to visit and before we knew it, we were off to the local park with cameras in tow. Congratulations on this awesome addition to your family – we can’t wait to meet baby J!

BABY | LITTLE BRANDON

September 2, 2009

Recently we had the opportunity to meet little Brandon. His mommy was one of our brides several years ago and it’s so rewarding to be able to share another big life event with her. Congratulations to the L family – isn’t Brandon just so precious?

I confess, I’m completely in love with baby feet. Chunky legs and chubby little toes are sooo adorable!

A mother’s touch is just that, a mother’s touch. Gentle, warm, loving, supportive and comforting. I’m amazed at how quickly babies stop crying once they’re in mommy’s arms. It’s like magic.

The heat was pretty uncomfortable that day and after an hour or so this little guy didn’t want any part of it anymore. He was ready to head indoors and take a nap!

Don’t grow up too quickly!

The “B” Family

August 9, 2008

We had an awesome time with the B family last weekend. Beau and Nancy are some of the nicest people we know and their kids are absolutely adorable. Little Madeline was a bit shy in the beginning, but warmed up to us in no time once we started talking about Dora and Strawberry Shortcake. She’s so cute!

We also got to meet some of her friends. Everyone, this is “Doggy Boy”

They have a lovely backyard so we headed out for some California sunshine. These kids were so good even though the blistering heat pushed us to our limits. What great troopers!

Big brother Sean-Luc was quick to show us his silly side.

Father & son

I love how you can see the happiness in their eyes. As a bride-to-be myself, I’m so stoked when we meet couples that are just overflowing with joy and love. Everyone can take a chapter from their book and learn something valuable about marriage.

Speaking of love, Madeline whispered to me that she’s excited about being a big sister in a few months. This family of four five is definitely something special. Thanks for opening your home to us and we can’t wait to meet the little bundle of joy!
