Enlarging on Canvas

September 29, 2008

I love canvas prints because they add a unique textured look and and depth to any photograph. We ordered the following 16×20 canvas wrap about 2 weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with the results!

Wishing Trees

September 27, 2008

We were in Old Town Pasadena a couple weeks ago and saw their amazing wishing trees! They had 20-25 of these trees in the courtyard and each one of them were covered (and I mean covered) in peoples’ wishes. We couldn’t help but stop and read some of them.

There were many wishes for good health and prosperity of loved ones, but world peace was the one thing that dominated those branches. It’s clear from the tags that these are indeed very trying times. After spending a few minutes reading other people’s wishes, we wrote some of our own.

It was an absolutely stunning setup and I was so bummed the camera was in the car, but I was able to snap a few shots from my trusty iPhone.

Chucks

September 15, 2008

We ate at Chipotle the other day and Ray snapped this nifty picture of our matching chucks. I don’t know, there’s just something about the combination of stainless steel, jeans and sneakers in this shot that I absolutely love.

I was so consumed by the chips and guacamole that I didn’t even realize he took a picture. Cheesy? Probably, but we’re shameless like that. Happy Tuesday!

A Day at the Park

September 14, 2008

It’s been a long and busy summer so we decided to take a break and headed to the park for some fun in the sun. What’s better than food and friends? We started off with volleyball – check out this action from our fearless leader, J.

A sandwich, some chips and some ice cold drinks to replenish the body and we’re off again. Well, not really. The heat was a great reason to stay in the shade so we brought out the games and started off with Taboo. As a side note, the girls completely crushed the guys in this game. Here’s J getting ready to buzz S.

A beautiful photo of the lovely Anteater couple :)

After that it was time for some BS! If you’ve never played BalderDash, you’re missing out. It’s hilariously entertaining with a group of friends.

And after a long day, everyone (include Bella here) is ready for a nap. We packed up and headed back to the house. Everyone got cleaned up and we ordered Peruvian food from Inka Mama’s for dinner. Their Tallarin Saltado de Carne is awesome and their ceviche oh so yummy. I was so busy eating I completely forgot to take pictures. I guess that gives me a reason to back for more!
