it rained pretty hard the night before so we were all expecting clouds and rain, but got signature california clear skies instead. isn’t the morning light just incredible? i need to make a note to do early morning sessions more often. here’s a teaser of this dynamic duo for now. more to come later, i promise.

we recently got another batch of albums in and i just realized we’ve never posted photos of them, so here they are! there’s nothing like the anticipation of opening a package of gorgeous, lush leather albums and running your fingers over them. yes i’m a bit obsessive when it comes to these premium albums – the soft touch and (new car smell!) of the leather is so uberly cool.
the photographic prints have a 2mm substrate between them, making for sturdy, thick pages that lay completely flat when opened. the colors are out of this world and exactly as we see them on our calibrated monitors in the studio. you have a choice of seven colors to choose from and every album comes with a swank cloth cover to protect it when you’re not showing it off to friends and family. check it out.

last week we attended an open house event for some of our friends in the industry and it was a smashing night. i always have a camera by my side so i shot a few photos from that night to share here on the blog. the team from sky boy productions put the event together and jack from tmmpro rocked the room with awesome lighting.
the talented euri from fleuretica took care of the gorgeous details and floral pieces that made the place glow. come on, mason jars, the flowers and that awesome ‘love’ sign above the yummy goodies. lovely indeed.
the most scrumptious, yummy cakes by none other than cakesbythepound and the best macaroons by joie pastisserie. i admit it, i must have had at least two pieces each. so. incredibly. delicious. we also got to chat a bit with caroline tran in her cute new office.
it was jammed packed in there with a couple hundred folks, but they still managed to send us home with a big swag bag full of coolness. m&m’s, cotton candy, calendar and a ceremony magazine just to name a few. guess what i’ve been nibbling on all last week while editing? : )
it’s always nice to see our friends outside of weddings, but we love to see them at events as well. if you’re ever in need of their services, these awesome people are wonderful to work with. thanks for a fun-filled night!

we had the best time at jasmine and hao’s wedding recently. very rarely do we get a one-location shoot (preps, ceremony, reception all at the gorgeous beverly hills four seasons) and we took full advantage of it. it was a photo+cinema day for us so we brought the entire studio and then some to make sure everything was covered. this was suppose to be a teaser post, but i had a tough time picking just a few photos because we got so. much. good. stuff! huge thanks to amy + jean for helping out!
who says it never rains in LA? we had a very nasty week of rain and gloomy skies just before their wedding so everyone was on pins and needles, but as you can see, the clouds parted and it was a glorious day in the 90210.
this was the view from the balcony looking down at the ceremony site. when we saw this in the morning, we knew it would make for an awesome first look location. wait till you see the trailer for the film – epicness ensues.
pete alles from the hotel coordinated everything and the lighting/dj was done by none other than jack of tmmpro. jasmine * hao, thanks so much for having us on your special day. we have a few projects to get to before we can come back to this wedding, but i am so looking forward to it. more imagery to come from this beautiful day later this month!
